Nhafunde Health Post Handed Over
11.06.2013 / 18:00
The result of the first Czech Small Development Project in Mpozambique, the health post in Nhafunde community was handed over on 11 June 2013.
The Czech Republic implemented a small development project in Mozambique in 2012 and resumed thus the development cooperation with this southern-African country.
The project enabled the community of Nhafunde (Manica Province, District of Catandica) to erect a health post which will cater for all its basic healthcare needs. Until now, all people in need of even urgent medical assistance had to travel long distances (up to tens of kilometres) or rely on makeshift aid at the local Moz-Agri farm. This family farm implemented the project - it provided, free of charge, a plot and participated at the construction costs.
The opening was graced by the presence of numerous guests, including the Chargé d'Affaires e.p. of the Czech Republic, Mr. Petr Starý.
