Czech Aviation Products Presentation
11.11.2013 / 11:50
The Embassy of the Czech Republic introduced Zimbabwean pilots and flying fans to the current portfolio of Czech sport and ultralight aircrafts.
The presentation which was prepared by the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Harare took place at Komani Flying Club, located on the outskirts of Harare on 9 November, 2013. Various products were shown during the presentation and these came from 8 companies from the Czech Republic, namely Zlin, Skyleader (Jihlavan), Atec, Evektor, DirectFly, HPH, Kubíček and Aeroprofil. Products from the firm Let Kunovice also formed part of the presentation.
Members of the Komani Flying Club are familiar with products from the Czech Republic since some club members are currently using them . Proof that these are long term clients is the fact that the Czech manufactured glider Banik, bought in the 70’s is still part of the products in use at Komani Flying Club. A relatively short time ago this ‘veteran’ was joined in the hangar by other light aircraft of Czech origin.
The Czech Republic is a world leader in production of light and ultralight planes. The members of the Sport Aircraft Manufacturers Association in the Czech Republic annually produce more than 400 aircraft and even higher volumes of components, spare parts and accessories. 95 % of this production is destined for export markets.
