Films by Jan Švankmajer in Havana International Latin American Film Festival 2012

The Embassy of the Czech Republic prepared, in cooperation with the International Film and Television School (EICTV) of San Antonio de los Baños and the management of the Havana International Latin American Film Festival 2012, and, in the framework of this year's 34th edition of the Festival, a presentation of work of the Czech director Jan Švankmajer. The Cuban public had, from December 6 to December 8 the opportunity to see a total of 8 films of the renowned artist. The program also included an exhibition of posters to Švankmajer´s films and lectures given by his long-time collaborator and teacher of the FAMU Mr. Jaromir Kallista, who perceived with enthusiasm the considerable interest in Švankmajer´s work and in Czech cinematography in general from the part of the Cuban public.
