Literary gathering in Bauta adds to the tribute to Bohumil Hrabal

The literary gathering “Mezcla”, an space conduced by the Cuban writer Denys San Jorge at the library “Antonio Maceo”, of the municipality of Bauta, Artemisa, was part of the activities in homage to the Czech writer Bohumil Hrabal in his centenary. This time, the writer José Miguel Sánchez Gómez, alias Yoss, was invited to talk about Czech literature, and especially about Hrabal works, little known in Cuba. Yoss talked to those present, around 35 persons, and in his uninhibited style related and read scenes of the unforgettable “I served the King of England”. At the library were founded copies of the only book of Hrabal published in Cuba: “Closely watched trains”.
