Czechs in Finland

The Czech community in Finland is organized in two registered organizations. The Finnish-Czech society (Suomi-Tšekki seura) and the Bohemia society gather Czechs  living around Finland and friends of the Czech Republic.

The significant part of the compatriots work lies on the promotion of Czech language. They are participating on providing courses of Czech language for interested public or for school children of Czech citizens. The total number of Czech citizens living and working in Finland is about 600. The Finnish well evaluated education system also interest students from Czech Republic and the number of the Czech exchange students in Finland is cca 400 every year.
