(This article expired 31.05.2020.)

April 19th, 2012 a group of Finnish students of Czech language gathered at the premises of the Embassy of the Czech Republic. The meeting was a closing event of this winter semester for students that participated in language courses organized by the Finnish-Czech Society and an open college for adults, Kalliolan kansalaisopisto. The teacher of these courses was Sirpa Seppälä, the vice president of the Finnish-Czech Society.

At the event there were present approximately 20 students of basic and more advanced levels, representing different age categories and having various reasons for their interest in studying Czech language. The more advanced students had a possibility to discuss with native speakers, also invited to the event.  At the end of the evening was presented a Czech classic film Rozmarné léto, directed by Jiří Menzel in 1968 and based on a novel of the same title by Vladislav Vančura. The student highly appreciated the opportunity to visit the Embassy of the Czech Republic.
