(This article expired 27.08.2023.)

This year the Night of the Arts in Helsinki was held on 22 August. Czech Embassy together with expatriates took part in the event by reading Z. Miller´s Mole stories in a cultural centre Itäkeskus in Helsinki where several events for children were organized. The programme with Mole was extremely popular among the children.

After reading Mole stories in Helsinki libraries also the cultural centre in Itäkeskus got interested in these tales for the Night of the Arts. Although there were parallel events for children going on in the cultural centre, the reading room for Z. Miller’s stories was full. As usually the reading was a great success.

The Night of the Arts was now celebrated for the 25th time. The Night of the Arts is the largest event during the Helsinki Festival when hundreds of cultural events unfold all around the city. Museums, galleries, bookshops and cafés are open until late and the streets are filled with artists, musicians and singers. In the course of its existence the event has evolved into a veritable carnival of the arts presenting all genres of cultural and music activities.
