Concert Czech Dances by Hong Kong Philharmonic with Czech Conductor Jakub Hrůša

The Hong Kong Philharmonic will perform concert “Czech Dances” on September 19 and 20 2014 with the Czech conductor Jakub Hrůša.

Jakub Hrůša was described by Gramophone Magazine as “on the verge of greatness”. Hi is Music Director and Chief Conductor of the Prague Philharmonic and Principal Guest Conductor of Tokyo Metropolitan Symphony Orchestra.

With the Hong Kong Philharmonic Jakub Hrůša will perform the Lachian Dances by Leoš Janáček and Symphony No. 8  by Antonín Dvořák. Between these two pieces, the Dutch violinist Liza Ferschtman will perform Igor Stravinsky’s Violin Concert..

The Concert “Czech Dances” will take place on Friday 19 September and Saturday 20 September 2014 from 8 pm in Concert Hall of the Hong Kong City Hall.
