Czech Film "Lidice"screened at the European Union Film Festival 2013 in Hong Kong

Consulate General of the Czech Republic in Hong Kong had prepared the Czech film "Lidice" to be screened at the European Union Film Festival 2013 that was held in Hong Kong from February 22 to March 6, 2013. A historical drama directed by Petr Nikolaev tells a story of a small Czech village Lidice and every day life of its inhabitants during the Second World War to the very tragic end of the whole village.

Film Lidice was screened twice in its Hong Kong premiere: on March 2, 2013 from 1:30 p.m. at Palace IFC in Central and on March 5, 2013 from 7:30 p.m. at Broadway Cinematheque at Yau Ma Tei. More information about the film Lidice can be found on the official film website.

The European Union Film Festival offers Hong Kong audience every year a unique opportunity to get themselves acquainted with internationally acclaimed features of contemporary European cinema. The films were presented by 18 European countries and the Office of the European Union to Hong Kong in association with Broadway Cinematheque.
