The 38th Hong Kong International Film Festival - HKIFF (24.3.-7.4.2014) dedicates the whole section called: “Decades on the Road of Freedom - Postwar History Through Recent Czech Cinema” to the Czech films this year. The Czech part of the HKIFF program was chosen by the Czech Film Center together with Dr. Gabriel Paletz (film critigue and professor at the Film School Prague). The Czech Film Center has also provided all the materials for the Czech films for the HKIFF including synopsis, photos and film rights.

The Hong Kong audience will be able to see eight Czech movies that show the history of the nation, region and era - among them is the newest film by the famous Czech director Jan Hřebejk "Honeymoon" as well as the film "Burning Bush" by Agnieszka Holland, which has recently won 11 Czech Lions (Czech film award).
