Film The Last Flight of Peter Ginz at Hong Kong Jewish Film Festival 2012

The Consulate General of the Czech Republic in Hong Kong supported the screening of the film The Last Flight of Petr Ginz at the Hong Kong Jewish Film Festival 2012, which was held 11th to 18th November 2012.

The Consulate General of the Czech Republic in Hong Kong supported the screening of the film The Last Flight of Petr Ginz at the Hong Kong Jewish Film Festival 2012 (HKJFF), which was held from 11th to 18th November 2012.

The Last Flight of Petr Ginz (2011) is a unique movie from American directors Sandra Dickson and Churchill Roberts, which combines documentary movie with animations. The movie tells a story of Peter Ginz, a talented Czech boy who penned a diary about the Nazi occupation of Prague. By 16 Petr had produced more than 170 drawings and paintings, edited an underground magazine in the Theresienstadt Ghetto, written numerous short stories and had walked to the gas chamber at Auschwitz. The Consulate General of the Czech Republic supported the screening of the movie at the HKJFF financially and also with the presence of the Consul General, Mr. Jaroslav Kantůrek, who gave a speech before the screening.

Mr. Kantůrek also came to the screening of the movie at the Hong Kong University Graduate Association College on 22nd November 2012.
