Success of the Czech Students at the PolyU Global Student Challenge 2013

Three Czech students from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of the Brno University of Technology participated in the semifinal round of the third Innovation & Entrepreneurship Global Student Challenge 2013 organized by The Hong Kong Polytechnic University.
The team of three students from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of the Brno University of Technology (VUT) was shortlisted among 228 teams from 34 countries worldwide for the semifinal round of the third Innovation & Entrepreneurship Global Student Challenge 2013 organized by The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU).
The participants had to develop an innovative project with an entrepreneurial prospectus, a business plan and a video presentation. A total of 62 shortlisted teams incl. VUT were subsequently invited to the Hong Kong PolyU campus between 22 and 28 June 2013 to compete in front of a professional jury. They have also participated in an array of tailored activities to experience the culture, innovation and entrepreneurial spirit of Hong Kong.
The students of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of VUT in Brno Petr Bouchal, Libor Šeda and Jiří Jarolímek competed with the web platform “Corporate Car-pooling” which has the potential to reinforce a company´s corporate image as an eco-friendly company.
