Visit of the Hong Kong Holocaust and Tolerance Centre

The Consul General of the Czech Republic in Hong Kong, Mr. Jaroslav Kantůrek, paid a visit to the recently opened Hong Kong Holocaust Tolerance Centre in Elsa High School in Hong Kong on 11th October 2012.
On 11th October 2012 the Consul General of the Czech Republic in Hong Kong, Mr. Jaroslav Kantůrek, paid a visit to the Hong Kong Holocaust and Tolerance Centre (HKHTC), which was established in May 2012. The Consul General officially handed over a few books by the writer Arnošt Lustig, who has recently passed away. These books were donated by the Franz Kafka Publishing House. Mr. Kantůrek also promised the HKHTC cooperation on organizing of the exhibitions and movie screenings.
The Consul General was as well received by the principal of Elsa High School, Mrs. Rachel Friedmann. Elsa High School specializes in Jewish and International studies. Part of the studies at Elsa High School are also trips to Prague, so the students get a chance to learn more about Jewish heritage and holocaust history.
