A New Look at Czech Crystal

An exhibition of the Czech Crystal took place in Mandarin Oriental in Jakarta on 28th October, in parallel with the National Day celebration. The exposition contained samples from seven Czech manufacturers ranging from the traditional cut glass through lightings to contemporary designs.
Some of the companies whose products were on display, such as Crystal Bohemia or Clartes are already known in Indonesia. For others like Halama Glass, Caesar Crystal Bohemiae, Verreum Prague and Czevitrum, the exhibition was a good opportunity to introduce their work to the Indonesian public. The pieces by the two latter producers, defying the “Bohemia Crystal” category, have drawn a particular attention by their functionality and design.
