The Indonesian healthcare and beauty sector has been experiencing an unprecedented boom in recent years and its untapped potential became of interest to numerous Czech companies. The Czech Embassy in Jakarta supported their exploratory efforts of the Indonesian market by offering a stall at the Indo Medica Expo and organizing a specialized presentation focused on the potential and challenges of this fast growing sector.

Overall seven Czech companies were present at the Embassy booth, among them Ella-CS -  the only manufacturer of such unique products as a biodegradable stent, Danis stent for stopping of acute varietal bleeding and an esophageal stent extractor, Guergi - a brand of cosmetic products widely spread in the Middle East, JETT Cosmetics – a producer of devices for cosmetic professionals,  Linet – a major Czech manufacturer and worldwide supplier of hospital and nursing beds, SEIVA -  a manufacturer of PC-based cardiology devices and SMT – researching and manufacturing company producing electrosurgery and cryosurgery  systems, instruments, tools and accessories for various medical fields. Some companies sent their representatives while others were represented by their local partner Cekindo. The Embassy in cooperation with the EU Indonesia Business Network also provided the exhibitors with a customized presentation focused on the potential, restriction and challenges of the Indonesian healthcare market.
