Czech pavilion at InaGreen Tech 2014

(This article expired 10.10.2015.)

Czech companies presented themselves at the Czech national pavilion during the specialized environmental exhibition InaGreen Tech 2014. Their participation was supported by the funds of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic, allocated to the promotion of the Czech companies abroad.

The combination of Indonesia’s large population and fast economic growth generates lots of challenges, especially in the area of environment.  The Embassy has observed this trend for quite some time and has been trying to show Czech solutions to some of these increasingly pressing problems.

A specialized business delegation led by the Czech minister of Environment visited the biggest Indonesian cities (Medan, Jakarta, Surabaya and Bandung) in 2013, trying to primarily address the issues of waste management and waste water treatment and to share the Czech know-how in this particular areas.

As a follow up to this ground-breaking mission, the Embassy proposed to support the participation of Czech companies at the environmental exhibition InaGreen Tech which took place in the Kemayoran exhibition grounds from 13 to 15 May 2014.

Six Czech companies presented themselves in the national pavilion provided by the Embassy. Four of them, Hydropol, ČKD Blansko Small Hydro, CINK and Ševčík vodohospodářská zařízení, specialized in the area of the hydropower generation, are already experienced in the Indonesian market. On the other hand AGRO-EKO, focused on processing of biomass, has been introduced in Indonesia for the very first time. The latter is locally represented by a well-established Czech-Indonesian consultancy firm CEKINDO that also participated in the fair.

The Czech pavilion generated a lot of interest from among local and international visitors. New contacts were established, the companies were able to introduce themselves during specialized seminars and numerous possibilities of new projects have been identified.
