Summer School of Slavonic Languages in the Czech Republic

Students of Czech are offered a short term study in the Czech Republic. Summer School of Slavonic Languages will be held at Palacký University in the city of Olomouc from 19th July to 16th August 2014.
The Summer School is designed for foreigners of all ages and any level of knowledge of the Czech language who are interested in Czech or other Slavonic languages. The lessons are complemented with cultural events, theatre workshop, exhibition of the folklore music and dance, film club, weekend trips to famous and popular places around the country.
The Summer School is intended for professors, senior lecturers, tutors and students of the Czech language and literature or Slavonic studies, translators, journalists and the general public interested in Czech language, literature, history, and culture. The programme comprises also courses for beginners. English and Czech are used as teaching languages according to students’ level. After finishing the intensive language course, each student will receive a certificate stating the achieved language level (based on test results). The four-week Summer School course corresponds to one academic semester/term of Czech philology at the University.
