Study Master in International Security Studies with The Prague Security Studies Institute

The program Study MISS with PSSI, a two-year English Master's degree program taught at the Charles University in Prague, represents an exceptional opportunity to combine academic studies and professional experience.

PSSI, the number one think tank in the Czech Republic, according to think tank ranking released annually by University of Pennsylvania, has closely collaborated with the Charles University in Prague since 2002. In this connection, PSSI offers students of Master in International Security Studies the program Study MISS with PSSI, through which students can participate in a broad spectrum of interesting projects and lectures.

The Study MISS with PSSI program includes:

  • Internship at PSSI, Forum 2000 Foundation or other similarly minded institutions, which can significantly enrich the students’ career.
  • Alumni Program. Students can join PSSI Alumni Program and become members of PSSI alumni community of more than 400 students coming from 25 countries around the world.
  • Special RMSSP Lectures. PSSI regularly organizes special RMSSP lectures with guest experts and practitioners. Among our speakers are senior officials from various Czech ministries (Defence, Foreign Affairs), international organizations, intelligence agencies or foreign experts visiting Czech Republic.
  • Invitations to PSSI events and conferences that are mostly closed to public.
  • Access to Czech Security Community. Students will gain access to a number of interesting people, which represents an excellent stepping stone to start a successful career.
  • Counseling. PSSI can give students advice about career advancement, academic path or life in Prague.

The early admissions deadline for academic year 2015/16 is 28 February 2015. This deadline is strongly recommended for students from non- EU or non-EFTA countries who will need a student visa in order to study in the Czech Republic. The regular deadline for academic year 2015/16 is 30 April 2015.
