1978 Finished Secondary school in Hradec Králové.
1984 Graduated at the Faculty of Filosophy, Charles University in Prague.
1985 Starts his career at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

1990 – 1993 Secretary at the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Bonn, Germany.
1993 – 1997 Press Department.
1994 – 1997 Deputy Director of the Press Department.
1997 – 2001 Counselor, Head of the Economic and Commercial Office at the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Berlin, Germany.
2001 – 2003 Director of the Press Department.
2002 – 2003 Spokesperson of the Ministry.
2004 – 2009 Consul General in Munich, Germany.
2009 Director of the Administration and Information Processing Department.
