Minister Kohout met State Secretary of Montenegro

Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic Jan Kohout met Aleksandar Andrija Pejović, State Secretary for European Integration and Chief Negotiator for Negotiations on Accession of Montenegro to the EU, on September 10, 2013 in the Czernin Palace.

First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Jiří Schneider then discussed the state of accession negotiations with focus on the field of judiciary and rule of law with Montenegrin delegation. Chief Negotiator introduced the Montenegrin achievements so far. Czech-Montenegro relations were evaluated as very good ones. The debate focused also on possibilities of deepening of bilateral cooperation especially in economic matters.

Czech delegation presented the country´s experience from accession negotiations, as well as the EU membership itself during the talks and ensured the partners about Czech support of the Eurointegration ambitions of Montenegro. Czech delegation promised to discuss possibilities of concrete expert assistance with negotiation talks for Montenegro.
