Eastern Partnership seminar on Public Administration Reform in Yerevan

From 26 May until 30 May 2014, Yerevan will host the fifth seminar on Public Administration Reform at the local and regional level organised by the Czech Republic as the leading country for this area in the framework of Eastern Partnership.

The seminar is organised by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic in cooperation with the European Commission and the European External Action Service. Among the 25 participants, there will be civil servants as well as civil society representatives from five Eastern Partnership countries (Armenia, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova, Ukraine). In accordance with long-term priorities of the Czech Republic, the seminar should contribute to promoting the rule of law and building transparent institutions acting for the benefit of citizens in the countries of Eastern Partnership. The seminar is focused on sharing the experience between experts from the Czech Republic, Lithuania, Poland, France and Spain and their colleagues from the Partner countries, as regards decentralisation of state functions, countering disparities in regional development, supporting sustainable development at the local level and fighting against corruption.
