Caritas Czech Republic

A non-profit humanitarian organization Caritas Czech Republic is the biggest non-state provider of social and health care services in the Czech Republic, whose history dates more than 100 years ago. Caritas’ main goal is to help those in need in the Czech Republic. It has also become increasingly more involved in humanitarian aid abroad, especially developmental one.
Caritas Czech Republic has provided humanitarian aid abroad since 1995. It is also a member of Caritas Interantionalis, which comprises 162 national charities and coordinates their humanitarian and developmental activities in regions of crises or disasters.
In cooperation with the Czech Ministry of Foreign Affairs – within the Transition Promotion Program, Caritas Czech Republic realizes projects in Moldova and Georgia aimed at the support of civic participation, enhancement of local self-governments and their cooperation with civil society.
