AGORA, Central Europe
The general aim of the project was to increase the quality of citizen competencies of the Georgian generation close to productive age and to enable a gradual increase of its influence on public life in Georgia.
This aim was accomplished through common and mutually joint activities of partner organizations. The emphasis was on the use of newly conceived methods of communication (public debates) and communication medias and social networks. The choice of target groups was based on the Czech experience with the transformation process, where work with those target groups brought both immediate effect (such as broadening of knowledge practical experience with use of new media among teachers) and long term effect (stronger assertion of young people in public life, better cooperation with local administration representatives etc.).
Throughout the project educational workshops and seminars were conducted, Summer schools were carried out and the final conference on education towards active citizenship was organized.
