Association for International Affairs implemented a project that was dedicated to support the civil education in Eastern Ukraine and multicultural education in Autonomous republic of Crimea. The aim of the project is to acquaint Ukrainian pedagogues with experience of Czech teachers with their access to civil and multicultural education and to interactive learning methods. The main target group of the project is represented by employees of Institutes of qualification improvement and teachers from Autonomous republic of Crimea. AMO has been implementing the project for 4 years in the region of Charkov, Luhaň and Doceň and finished the project by organizing the pedagogical conference. In 2011 AMO focused more on promotion and distribution of the methodological guide that summarized the outcomes of the project.
In 2011 AMO focused also on Autonomous republic of Crimea. Crimean teachers had the opportunity to visit the Czech republic and discuss the educational transformation process experience and day-to-day practises with their Czech colleagues. AMO, in cooperation with Crimean Ministry of Education, also organized a series of seminars that dealt with multicultural education in Jalta, Sevastopol, Simfropol and Krasnoperekosk. The seminars were intended for employees of institutes and local high school teachers and were complemented by practical workshops and sample lessons. Another stimulus for the highschool teachers was a competition, the main objective of which was to create ideal scenarios of their lessons and projects. The best works were evaluated by independent committee composed of Ukrainian experts and will be published on the web site.
AMO implemented the project in cooperation with Association of Directors of Ukrainian schools, Ministry of education of Crimea and Luhan Institute of qualification improvement.
Ministry of foreign affairs supported the project with a grant of 1 mil CZK
