Transfer of experience of the Czech non-governmental organizations with European integration process to Ukrainian partners II.

Amount of financial support from Ministry of Foreign Affairs: 485.833,50 CZK

Objective of the project:

a)     to facilitate the transfer of relevant experience of the Czech non-governmental organizations with the European and Euroatlantic integration processes to Ukrainian partners in the form of a joint seminar and ensuing cooperation on minimally three concrete initiatives and project intentions

b)    facilitation of contacts between the Czech and Ukrainian partners

c)     elaboration of joint project proposals in priority sections, eventually cooperation on ongoing projects or initiatives

The project was structured into two phases. A Czech-Ukrainian seminar was organized during the first phase. Its aim was to strengthen links and to arrange contacts between the Czech and Ukrainian NGOs by an Open Space method of brainstorming on possible project intentions and cooperation in questions which the Ukrainian NGOs consider as priorities. The seminar was held on 18 -20 June 2008 and was attended by 43 delegates of Ukrainian NGOs and 9 delegates of Czech NGOs.

During the second phase, coaching of three Czech experts by three selected Ukrainian organizations (Centre for European Initiatives (Sumy), Euroclub Rivne, Donetsk Youth Debate Centre) took place. During the coaching of the Czech experts, further project intentions were elaborated (European Voluntary Service, assistance in the implementation of ongoing projects (Europanostra). Mentors also contributed with their experience to the increasing of the capacity of the Ukrainian NGOs.
