On Sunday, September 23, 2012, visitors had an opportunity to see for the second time this year the baroque seat of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Czernin Palace, including Jan Masaryk apartment. A concert of Allstar Refjúdží Band followed in the garden of the Palace. The event was to highlight the topic of refugees and social integration.
Allstar Refjúdží Band is a group of musicians from various cultures, religious backgrounds and political perspectives. Its mission is to open through musical and theatrical production topics related to migration. The Band combines brass band, ethno, ska, rap, klezmer, Dixieland, Chinese opera, and Armenian and Kurdish rhythms into one pot.
The event featured an exhibition „We are from one Planet“ by photographer Jindřich Štreit and journalist Martina Vašíčková. This exhibition produced by Charita Czech Republic documents lives of people who were born hundreds and thousands of kilometers away and decided to live in the Czech Republic. The exhibition is a part of “Positive Image of a Foreign National in the Czech Republic” project co-financed by “Solidarity and Migration flows Management” program.
The event was organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in cooperation with Czech Center Prague and Theatre Archa.
