In cooperation of the Ministries of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Interior and Ministry of Health, Project of speeded-up procedure of processing national long-term visa with the purpose of medical treatment for the citizens of United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Katar, Bahrain and Oman was introduced on November 1, 2012.
The project has been designed for patients having a diagnosis according to the Regulation of the Ministry of Health No. 267/2012 Col. Patients who are about to take a long-term (over 90 days) medical care in Lázně Darkov, a.s., Léčebné lázně Jáchymov, a.s., THERMAL-F, a.s. or Lázně Teplice v Čechách, a.s. should apply for their long-term visa at a relevant diplomatic mission of the Czech Republic.
Before submitting the application for a long-term visa, it is necessary to communicate with one of the above-mentioned medical centres in order to be provided with relevant documents supporting the visa application. Once medical treatment is approved for a particular patient, he/she may apply for a long-term visa (with the complete set of documents) at a Czech diplomatic mission; the Ministry of Interior will decide on the visa application in a speeded-up procedure (up to 30 days).
The speeded-up procedure will be applied not only to the patient, but also to one of his/her accompanying person.
Regarding the information about diagnosis and the supporting documents, please contact the medical centres as mentioned above; further questions about the visa process can be consulted with the respective Czech diplomatic mission.
