Milan Řepka became the spokesperson of the MFA

 

Following the decision of the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Jan Kohout, an alternation took place at the position of the Director of the Department of the Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic. Present Spokesperson Zuzana Opletalová was replaced by Milan Řepka.

Milan ŘepkaMr. Milan Řepka worked during his long professional career in the media (in particular for the Czechoslovak Radio, Czech Radio and Czech Television / 1991 until 1996) at the position of the parliamentary reporter and as the anchorman of the well-known discussion programme “Debate” of the Czech Television with Otakar Černý. Since 1996 Mr. Milan Řepka worked at the Ministry of Defence of the Czech Republic as the Minister’s Secretary, Spokesperson of the Ministry of Defence and the Director of the Department for Public Relations. In the years 2003 until 2005 he worked as a diplomat at the Permanent Delegation of the Czech Republic to NATO in Brussels as Defence Advisor. After returning to the Czech Republic, he acted as the chief-producer in the Sazka Aréna (nowadays O2 Aréna) and in the year 2007 he worked as the Director of the Communication and PR Unit of the Brno Trade Fairs and Exhibitions Corporation. In the meantime, Mr. Milan Řepka acted as the private advisor in the field of Public Diplomacy for the clients in the commercial and public sphere. He is joining the Ministry after working for the HOCHTIEF CZ a.s. Corporation, where he held the position of the Director of the Unit for Communication and acted as the Spokesperson.

Zuzana Opleatalová will continue to work at the Department of the Spokesperson of the MFA until her maternity leave.
