Among the main topics discussed at the meeting was the transformation of the Office of the High Representative into a reinforced Office of the EU Special Representative, constitutional reforms and internal political situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina.  

Both politicians also addressed the issues of Bosnia and Herzegovina in relation to the upcoming General Affairs and External Relations Council meeting (GAERC), the possibilities of visa liberalisation with Serbia and activities of EU security missions in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Valentin Inzko was born in 1948 in Austria. In the period 1974 – 1981 he acted in missions of UN Development Programme (UNDP). Since 1981 he worked for the Austrian diplomatic service. In the period 1990 – 1996 he served in the diplomatic mission at the Embassy of Austria in the Czech Republic, and in 1993 he was the Founding Director of the Austrian Cultural Institute in Prague. Afterwards he held important positions at the Austrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and served as Ambassador to Serbia and to Slovenia. In March 2009, he acceded to the Office of UN High Representative and EU Special Representative for Bosnia and Herzegovina.
