Minister Schwarzenberg visited development projects in Moldova

 

During his visit to Moldova, First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic Karel Schwarzenberg visited Lăpuşna town. In Lăpuşna minister Schwarzenberg and Prime Minister of Moldova Vladimir Filat attended an opening of a social centre built in frame project Concordia. Minister Schwarzenberg visited children´s village Concordia in Pirita inhabited by 300 orphans from Moldova.

In Nisporeni town minister Schwarzenberg opened Czech development aid project "reconstruction of system of sewage water usage system in Nisporeni“. The project is aimed on reduction of adverse effects of sewage water on environment, health and ensuring sustainable sewage water usage system in Nisporeni, Moldova. The project is complementary to similar activities funded by EU and Austrian development aid.

Among Czech development aid projects minister Schwarzenberg visited project "Development support to home assistance services in regions Cahul and Dubasari“ which is implemented by the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs of the Czech Republic. Principle of the project located in Dorotcaia is education of nurses providing health care to clients in their homes.

Moldova belongs to priority countries of the Czech development aid, in 2006 - 2010 as well as in 2010 – 2017, regarding the Czech Republic´s development cooperation concept. Development cooperation program of the Czech Republic and Moldova for the next period is being prepared. It will content priority sectors: environment, agriculture and social development (including education, social and health services). Moldova belongs among priority countries of Czech transformation cooperation program which is focused on support of civic society development, raising of NGOs capability and further education of civil servants.
