Minister Schwarzenberg met representatives of Syrian internal opposition

First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic Karel Schwarzenberg met on June 27, 2013 representatives of Syrian internal opposition, members of the National Coordination Committee for Democratic Change (NCC) led by Hasan Abdulaziz and Hajsam al-Mana.
They discussed the current situation in Syria and support for finding a peaceful and political solution to the Syrian conflict. They agreed on crucial importance of the upcoming conference on Syria - so called Geneva II. Minister Schwarzenberg supports the NCC representatives' effort to have the representatives of the internal opposition scene accepted as a legitimate part of the Syrian opposition along with the exile representatives.
On June 28, 2013, First Deputy Minister Jiří Schneider met the representatives of Syrian internal opposition for working lunch at the ministry and continued the discussion on current situation in Syria and perspectives of its further development.
