Statement of the MFA on the Earthquake in Iran

On 22nd February 2005, an earthquake occurred near the city of Zarand in the Kerman province in Iran. According to latest reports the earthquake claimed about four hundred victims. Minister of Foreign Affairs Cyril Svoboda addressed a letter to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran Kamal Kharrazi expressing its deepest condolence to Minister Kharazzi, the relatives of the victims and the people of Iran on behalf of the Government of the CR and the Czech people.
