The Ministry of Foreign Affairs fully supports the statement of EU Finnish Presidency from 3rd October 2006, expressing deep concern over the announcement of North Korea about a planned nuclear test.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs considers the announcement of North Korea, which will contribute to further escalation of tension in the Far East region, as an irresponsible and regrettable step, and appeals on North Korea to not to aggravate the security situation on the Korean peninsula and to come back to diplomatic negotiations in the framework of six sides talks.
