The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic is deeply concerned by the renewal of research and development activities of Iran on the field of nuclear programme. The fact that Iran took this step unilaterally in contradiction with the Paris Agreement signed with the EU and the resolutions of the IAEA Board of Governors cast serious doubts on the declared peaceful purposes of the Irani nuclear programme. This step also contributes to the destabilisation of the Near East area in the current sensitive period.
The MFA of the CR therefore calls on Iran for a hold-up without
delay of his nuclear activities in accordance with his obligations
in order to enable a diplomatic solution of the issue in the
framework of the IAEA.
