The Czech Republic supports the sovereignty and territorial unity of Gerogia within internationally agreed borders. The taking place of "elections" to local self-administrations in a region agitated by separationist efforts does not contribute to the effort of the international community aimed at reaching a peaceful solution to the conflict.
We call on all parties involved for respecting the existing
agreements and starting a political dialogue in order to reach an
effective and transparent solution of the conflict in Abkhazia.
