The only sense of such action could be to unleash another round of violence and terror and thus preventing further development of the region as the sole possible way leading to the solution of its challenges. If the members of the Kurdistan Workers´ Party really wish to protect the interests of the Kurdish people, they must renounce violence and join the political process.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic wishes to express its sincere condolences to the Government of Turkey and to the families of soldiers who became victims to the PKK´s terrorist attack.
