Statement of the MFA on the so called „elections to the self-governing bodies” in Nagorno-Karabakh

The so called „elections to the self-governing bodies” took place in the Nagorno-Karabakh region of the Republic of Azerbaijan on September 13, 2015. In this context, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic underlines that the Czech Republic does not recognize the constitutional and legal framework within which these elections were being held.
The Czech Republic supports peaceful solution of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict that shall be based on principles of the international law, which are used by the OSCE Minsk Group and its co-chairs.
