Deputy Minister Schneider in Armenia

On May 15, 2012 the First Deputy Minister Jiri Schneider concluded in Yerevan his working visit to South Caucasus countries. His partner at political consultations was Deputy Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanian.

Bilateral relations was the first topic - Mr. Mnatsakanian appreciated in this context the decision of the Czech MFA to open a small diplomatic mission in Yerevan. Other important issues discussed at the meeting were situation in Armenia after recent parliamentary election, EU-Armenia relations, Armenian security policy and relations with neighbouring countries and Russia.

Mr. Schneider also visited the Polish Embassy in Yerevan to see the premises for the Czech diplomat and to thank the Polish Ambassador Zdzislaw Raczynski for his personal contribution to the recently reached Czech-Polish agreement that makes possible collocation of Embassies of the two countries.
