Minister Schwarzenberg met ambassadors from the Arab countries

On May 30, 2012, Ministr of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Karel Schwarzeberg attended the working dinner with the group of the Ambassadors from the Arab countries, hosted by H. E. Belaid Hadjem, Ambassador of Algeria and doyen of the Arab Ambassador´s Group.
During the working dinner they discussed regional issues – the Ministr again strongly condemned the unacceptable violence in Syria and stressed the support of the Czech Republic to the Annan Peace Plan for Syria. He also debated with the Arab Ambassadors about the Middle East Peace Process, the situation in Egypt and Iranian regional ambitions. Bilateral issues were also addressed, especially the possibilities of enhancing the economic and trade cooperation between the Czech Republic and the Arab countries.
