January 1st, 2013 marks 20th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Czech Republic and Russian Federation. Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic is pleased to state that during the last 20 years the relations between the two countries have reached a high level and there are all the attributes at place for maintaining its positive dynamics in the near future as well as in the long-term period.
During past two decades the Czech Republic has seen Russian Federation as an important partner with whom it strives for widening and broadening cooperation based on mutual respect, the will to modernize society and common sharing of democratic values. As partners, both countries have always been able to conduct an open dialogue on number of important bilateral and multilateral issues, as well as to listen to each other. We firmly believe that the ability to maintain an open, sincere and friendly dialogue will remain a principal feature of Czech – Russian relations.
Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic looks at the future development of contacts and cooperation between the Czech Republic and Russian Federation with great optimism. We are aware that there exist numerous, yet unexploited great opportunities for cooperation on which we would like to focus our attention in the future.
