Minister Zaorálek to Ukrainian Ambassador: Unacceptable treatment of protestors
19.02.2014 / 19:32
Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic Lubomír Zaorálek met the Ukrainian Ambassador on 19 February. The Minister told the Ambassador the methods used against the protestors in Kyiv and other cities are absolutely unacceptable.
Under no circumstances, should internal problems be solved in such a manner. Minister Zaorálek believes that it is not possible to label all protestors as radicals. Declarations about “antiterrorist” operation effectively mean a declaration of the state of emergency leading to further escalation of tension. The attempt to deploy the army is an objective to use it against the Ukrainian citizens, for which the president will be responsible.
