Deputy Minister Tlapa Met Deputy Foreign Minister of Egypt


Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic, Martin Tlapa met Deputy Foreign Minister of Egyptian Arab Republic, Hatem Seif El-Nasr on 17th March 2014 for regular bilateral consultation.

They discussed issues of bilateral relations; the major topic of the discussion was mutual trade. Deputy Minister Tlapa noted that last year’s Czech exports to Egypt were worth 286 million USD, while Egypt exported to the Czech Republic goods at the value of 93 million USD. In both cases, these were the highest volumes of trade in the history of Czech-Egyptian business relations. Deputy Minister Hatem Seif El-Nasr emphasized high numbers of Czech tourists visiting Egypt on annual basis, as well as investment activities of Czech companies in Egypt.

Deputy Ministers also exchanged their views on the latest developments in the Middle East and Ukraine.
