Culture, Education and the Czech-British organisations

The Czech Embassy team is committed to promoting the very best of the Czech culture in the UK. Our mission is to attract the interest of the British public not only to the contemporary Czech culture but also to its history and traditions. Therefore we organize cultural and social events, concerts of both classical and contemporary music, lectures, author readings, and film projections. The Czech Centre in London is our most important partner in promoting the Czech civilisation in the UK.

Major part of our mission in education is encouraging relations among Czech and British universities and other types of schools. Special attention is paid to the promotion of the Czech language, literature and history at British universities (please see Czech Studies). We also provide British students with information about the possibilities of the Czech courses in Czechia, such as Summer School of Slavonic Studies.

The Czech Embassy is in daily contact with the Czech organisations in the UK as well as with the British organisations focusing on Czechia. We are happy to be helpful with organising some of their activities, often at our Embassy in London.
