The music of Antonín Tučapský at the Czech Embassy

The Dvořák Society for Czech and Slovak Music in cooperation with the Czech Embassy organised a concert of works by Czech composer Antonin Tučapský. The musical evening was held at the Embassy on November 8 and featured inter alia Meditation upon an old Czech chorale and a sonata for cello and piano. Tučapský´s music was interpreted by Margaret Bruce and Moshe Friedman. Antonín Tučapský lives and works in London. In 1975 he was appointed professor of composition at London's Trinity College of Music. In 2012 he was presented with Gratias Agit award for promoting good name of the Czech Republic abroad.
