A street named Lidice

The city of Stoke on Trent celebrated renaming the street.This special event was part of the City centre celebration of handing over the new bus station to the public. The Keele University Brass Band played the music created for Lidice documentary and Re:Stoke dance group performed specially commissioned Lidice themed piece. The new Lidice Way street sign was officially unveiled by Lord Mayor Terry Crowe and Deputy Head of the Czech Embassy Antonin Hradilek. The only trouble of this wonderful event was, as usually, the weather. But right after the unveiling moment, it stopped raining, at last!
