i Flautisti concert at the Czech Embassy

On 23 June 2011 a concert of iFlautisti quartet was held in cooperation with The Dvořák Society for the Czech and Slovak Music. Music from baroque to contemporary by Czech composers was played.
i Flautisti - The London Recorder Quartet (founded 2008) are gifted young ladies: Danielle Jalowiecka, Kerstin Kubitschek, Jitka Smutná a Ilona Veselovská had met during their studies at Royal College of Music. They had worked together on several successful projects during studies.
These young ladies present the contemporary young generation of musicians searching for new approaches in performance of historically knowledgeable interpretation of old music.
Their performances are usually very original, bringing new views on the traditional flute interpretation.
The audience at the Czech Embassy has listened to music by J. Rokyta, A. Vivaldi, A. Dvořák, B. Martinů etc. World premiere of Quartet for Recorders (2011) by Karel Janovický, composed entirely for i Flautisti. was performed in the composer´s presence.
