Katya Kabanova in the English National Opera

Leos Janacek´s famous opera Katya Kabanova was premiered on 15 March by the English National Opera.
English National Opera staged Katya Kabanova, perhaps the best known opera by Leoš Janáček, on 15 March. The main character is sung and played by Patricia Racette, directed by David Alden. Mark Wigglesworth was the conducter.
There are be 6 more performances cheduled for March and a pre-performance talk with writer and Janáček specialist, Gavin Plumley on Mar 24, 5.30pm.
