On May 19, 2012, Sir Nicholas Winton celebrated his 103rd birthday. Sir Nicholas saved 669 children, most of them Jews, from the Nazis by organising a total of eight trains from Prague to London. He also helped to find foster families for the refugees. In WWII he fought as a RAF officer. Sir Nicholas celebrated his birthday with family, friends and some of the "Winton Children".
Ambassador Michael Žantovský presents Sir Nicholas with a home-made birthday cake.
