Sir Nicholas Winton, a saviour of 669 Czechoslovak children on the eve of WWII, celebrated 101 years of age. A small family garden party was organized by his daughter Barbara. Best friends, family members attended, as well as some of the "Winton Children", e.g. Lady Milena Grenfell-Baines, Vera Gissing and Uta Klein.

The Czech Ambassador Žantovský complimented Sir Nicholas on his birthday and signed a book of congratulations.
