75th Anniversary of the Munich Agreement

The Munich Agreement, signed on September 30, 1938, represents a tragic milestone in the history of Czechoslovakia. The historical background will be presented by a screening of The Peace of Paper, a documentary directed by Cate Haste, followed by a panel with Dr. Martin D. Brown, Prof. Mark Cornwall, Cate Haste, Prof. Anita Prazmowska and Prof. David Reynolds.

On Monday, September 30, the Czech Embassy in cooperation with the Forum of British, Czech and Slovak historians organised a seminar to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the Munich Agreement. The historical background was introduced by a screening of The Peace of Paper, a documentary directed by Cate Haste. A panel with Dr. Martin D. Brown, Prof. Mark Cornwall, Cate Haste, Prof. Anita Prazmowska and Prof. David Reymolds enabled an interesting discussion about one of the thorniest milestones in the history of Czechoslovakia.
